The movies are part of a year-round film series at NYPA’s admission-free Hawkins Point Visitor’s Center auditorium.
The movies run every Friday at 1:30 p.m., and feature a variety of contemporary and classic hits. Popcorn is available on the house.
The September schedule is:
Sept. 3: The Bucket List – Two terminally-ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they die.
Sept. 10: Notting Hill – The life of a simple bookshop owner changes when he meets the most famous film star in the world.
Sept. 17: My Blue Heaven – A mob informer who is placed in the witness-protection program doesn’t fit into the suburban California life picked out for him.
Sept. 24: Letters to Juliet – An American girl on vacation in Italy goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in a letter found at the fictional lover’s Verona courtyard.
