MADRID -- Comrades of Hope and Dr. Sally White from the St. Lawrence Addiction Treatment Center will offer free naloxone training July 10 at 2 p.m. at the Madrid Community Center.
Naloxone, which is sometimes marketed under the name brand Narcan, is a nasal spray kit that can reverse the effects of an opiate or opioid overdose.
No medical knowledge is necessary.
Participants will each receive a free naloxone kit to take home.
