Free technology education programs offered at Potsdam library

POTSDAM – The Potsdam Library is hosting the following technology education programs in the Cleveland Computer Center in the library basement.

Registration is required for all tech programs listed below by email or phone: bgordon@potsdamlibrary.org, or call 315-265-7230.

Introduction to MS Word will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Google Docs will be offered Friday, Jan. 19, from 9:30-11 a.m. Students will learn to create, store and share documents in the “cloud.” Class defines Google Docs, and how to log in and use it. Participants must be familiar with Google and have a Google account.

Intermediate Excel is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 22, from 3-4:30 p.m. The class will explore using multiple spreadsheets,, working with formulas and with charts and graphs within an Excel spreadsheet. Participants must have basic Excel skills. Questions are welcome.

Introduction to Cloud Storage will be offered Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 10-11:30 a.m. Students will learn what the cloud is, how to store files on it. A Q and A time will be available. Basic computer and internet navigation skills are needed.

Excel Basics is slated for Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Students will set up basic spreadsheets, use basic formulas and print.
