MASSENA -- Massena Memorial Hospital is presenting a free community seminar “Skin Cancer – Signs, Symptoms and Treatments” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9 in the hospital’s board room to help educate the public on the signs, symptoms and treatment for skin cancer.
“Skin cancer is on the rise in the Baby Boomer generation, Dr. [Henri] Gaboriau notes. He said activities, such as sunbathing, that many people do in their younger years, can remain dormant for decades before developing into skin cancer,” according to an event announcement from MMH. “Dr. Gaboriau has treated thousands of skin cancer patients. With more than 18 years of experience in treating skin cancer, he will teach people the signs of skin cancer. He will also explain the symptoms, as well as surgical and non-surgical treatments to battle skin cancer.”
Other MMH physicians will present additional preventive health seminars in the coming weeks. All the seminars will be held in the hospital’s board room on the main floor.
