POTSDAM -- A free screening of North Country documentary “The Raquette River Winter River Experience” will be held at Feb. 26 at SUNY Potsdam.
This is the second installment of the series hosted by Don Meissner.
The documentary focuses on winter recreation along the Raquette River and was funded through grants from Potsdam Area Businesses.
“This 30 minute documentary war created in an effort to help foster pride, create awareness and promote the Raquette River and all of the exciting recreational activities available each winter seasons,” a news release from the village said.
In the film, WPBS-DT highlights various activities promoted by communities along the Raquette River during the winter months.
“It is an insight into the imagination and creativity of the region’s residents, but also the outdoor adventures one can take advantage of during the snow covered season in the North Country Adirondack region of New York State,” the release said.
The screening will be held at in the Barrington Student Union Multi-Purpose Room on Barrington Drive on the SUNY Potsdam campus.
