MASSENA—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will continue its free “Friday Matinees” in November with showings of classic movies at the admission-free Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch at the St. Lawrence Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project.
NYPA will show a selection of classic movies in the visitors center auditorium at 1:30 p.m. on Fridays. Free popcorn will be available.
The November lineup:
Nov. 4: “His Girl Friday” (1940). A newspaper editor uses every trick in the book to keep his ace reporter ex-wife from remarrying.
Nov. 11: The Visitors Center will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
Nov. 18: “The Long, Long Trailer” (1953). "I Love Lucy" co-stars and real-life husband-and-wife team Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz star in this adaptation of Clinton Twiss's novel, following the hijinks of a newlywed couple who spend their honeymoon in a trailer.
Nov. 25: The Visitors Center will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving.
