CANTON -- A free car seat checkup will be held Friday, July 24, at the Canton Fire Station, 77 Riverside Dr. from noon until 3 p.m.
Child passenger safety technicians will be on hand to help parents properly adjust and secure their child’s safety seat.
Adults should bring the car seat instructions and vehicle owner’s manual with them if possible. Children must be present to ensure proper fit of the car seat’s harness.
The event is sponsored by the North Country Child Passenger Safety Coalition, the St. Lawrence County Traffic Safety Program, and the New York Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee. Info: 379-2306.
