OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum will offer a virtual gallery tour for the final tea and lecture for 2012 in its Art Highlights & Tea Series Saturday, May 12.
Participants will “virtually” visit the galleries of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, a major repository for the art of Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell.
State-of-the-art video conferencing equipment we will be using to communicate with the Texas Museum. The equipment was funded through the Centennial Campaign and purchased by Kinney Drugs.
Those attending will see many of their major works side-by-side, and participate in a lively discussion comparing the two artists' subject matter and style.
After the lecture tea will be served, including a variety of sandwiches, devilled eggs, desserts, chocolate covered strawberries, lemonade and coffee or tea.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Cost for the tea is $10 for members and $12 for non-members.
Seating is limited. To reserve a seat, call 393-2425.
The museum is located at 303 Washington St.
