OGDENSBURG -- Girl Scouts will visit the Frederic Remington Art Museum May 18.

Scouts will participate in the “discovery tour,” spend time at Kids’ Place and take part in an art activity.

The tour and a scavenger hunt will be held between 11 a.m. and noon.

The Ogdensburg Public Library will serve pizza from noon to 1 p.m.

The girls will have free time to explore the art studio from 1 to 2 p.m.

Two guided art activities, based on Remington’s works, will be offered between 2 and 3 p.m. Girls in kindergarten through third grade will focus on Remington’s desert scenes and will paint paper desert critters with acrylics. Girls in fourth through sixth grade will learn about his western scenes and will create a themed picture using magazine clippings for a collage.

The visit will be $10 per scout and $8 per adult. The registration deadline is May 10. Non-scouts can attend for a $12 fee. To register visit www.gsnypenn.org/ebiz.
