CANTON -- A foster parenting informational meeting will be held Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Human Service Center, Second Floor Conference Room, 80 State Highway 310.
The event will help people interested in becoming a Foster Parent learn about the various types of Foster Care programs offered at CHJC. It will also give them the opportunity, in an informal setting, to ask questions and speak with the Foster Care Program staff.
Light hors d’oeuvres will be served. For those individuals who decide to begin the journey of Foster Parenting, a ten-week training class will begin on Jan. 9, 2014. The event is sponsored by the Children’s Home of Jefferson County (CHJC).
Anyone interested in learning more about Foster Parenting and CHJC’s Foster Care Program is encouraged to attend.
