CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County DSS is hosting a foster parent informational meeting June 26, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the Youth Advocate Program (YAP) Office at 3 Remington Ave, Suite 4 (back building).
This meeting will provide people an opportunity to learn more about the foster care program in St. Lawrence County and ask any questions that they may have about becoming a foster parent.
The next MAPP/ GPS training classes to become a SLC foster home begin on July 10, 2017.
Foster families provide short term or long term care to children who are unable to reside with their biological families for various reasons.
