OGDENSBURG – The Fort de la Presentation Association holds its fall social and fundraising auction Saturday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m., at the Sherman Inn Bed and Breakfast, 615 Franklin St., honoring Assemblywoman Addie Jenne with the Persis Yates Boyesen Award.
The event is open to the public and tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The evening includes an update on the progress of the interpretive trail at the VanRenesslaer Point, as well as awards, hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, speaker Dr. Melissa, Schrems, and silent and live auctions.
Ms. Jenne will receive the Peresis Yates Boyesen Award for her dedication and assistance to the Association and its mission to raise awareness of the history of the area and to rebuild Fort La Presentation.
In addition, Dallas R. Robinson will receive the David L. Dickinson Volunteer Award. Mr. Robinson has been a long-time friend and member of the Association, re-enactor, and demonstrator at many Founder’s Weekend celebrations.
The Joseph Cosentino Award will made to The Freight House Restaurant, for their long-time support to the Association. The Restaurant is located directly across the road from the Fort grounds.
The auctions include many items including art pieces, antiques, gift certificates, and gift baskets.
