POTSDAM – The Potsdam Community Performance Series opens its fall schedule Sept. 15 with Doc Severinsen and the San Miguel Five.
Severinsen will play at Hosmer Hall at SUNY Potsdam at 7:30 p.m. Severinsen, the trumpeter and bandleader, is known best for leading the NBC Orchestra on “The Tonight Show” starring Johnny Carson. He currently leads the San Miguel Five in a variety of Latin and gypsy styled jazz, a la Django Reinhardt .
There will also be a lecture at 6:30 p.m., before the concert.
The performance series continues through April with several other musical performances.
Ticket prices range from $24 - $50 per adult, $21 - $47 for seniors, and $12 - $25 for students. For additional information, contact the Box Office at 267-2277.
