MASSENA -- Author John Rydzewski will host a talk on his book, “China Diaries and Other Tales From the Road” at the Massena Public Library at 2 p.m. April 20.
Rydzewski was born and raised in Massena before attending Clarkson University in Potsdam.
He raveled to over 40 countries in China and Southeast Asia, keeping a blog that he has since turned into a book. Another Massena native, Shane White, designed the cover art for Rydzewski’s book.
Rydzewski will also donate a portion of the proceeds from any books sold during his talk to the library.
He also hopes to write a book about a 1917 unsolved murder in
Massena. The planned projected began as a high school term paper in 1986, but he hopes to turn it into a full-fledged book.
