OGDENSBURG -- Citing a severe weather forecast for extreme low temperatures, the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce is postponing their Polar Bear Plunge.
The event, originally scheduled for Saturday, will now be held March 20.
The National Weather Service has the area under a wind chill warning from Friday night through Sunday night.
Temperatures Saturday are not expected to get above -8 degrees and could get as low as -21 degrees at night, the NWS says.
The March 20 event will start at 11:30 a.m. with jumpers going in at 1 p.m.
There will be food, drinks, kids’ activities and trophies.
