First Crush Bistro in Potsdam to display artwork by father and deceased daughter during April

POTSDAM -- The First Crush Bistro & Wine Bar, 32 Market St., will display paintings, sculptures, sketches and mosaics by Otto Czerepak and his daughter, Katya Czerepak Greer during April.

Proceeds from the sale of artwork will go to the Katya Czerepak Greer Memorial Scholarship at SUNY Potsdam. Greer was a 2002 graduate of the SUNY Potsdam Art History program and an art teacher at Potsdam high school. She passed away unexpectedly in 2009 at the age of 29. The memorial fund in her name was created to provide an annual scholarship to a SUNY Potsdam student pursuing a degree in art education.

Donations to the memorial fund may be mailed to SUNY Potsdam or brought to the opening night reception. Checks should be made payable to the Potsdam College Foundation/Katya Greer Scholarship and should be mailed to the foundation, SUNY Potsdam, Potsdam, New York 13676. Donations may also be made on SUNY Potsdam’s website at secure.potsdam.edu/giving.
