POTSDAM -- The first block of Market Street in Potsdam will be closed off to vehicles starting at 5:15 p.m. Thursday for the annual Fright Night downtown events for kids.

The block will reopen after 8 p.m.

In anticipation of the closure of the street block, the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce asks that parked vehicles be moved by 5 p.m. Thursday.

“The chamber would like to thank the village of Potsdam, Potsdam Public Works Department, and the Potsdam Police Department for supporting this event and

blocking off the street to make it safer for the hundreds of children and parents who will be attending the Fright Night activities,” says chamber director Marylee Ballou.
