POTSDAM – The American Red Cross is offering a first aid/CPR/AED class for laypersons Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon and again on Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m., at the American Red Cross Office, 73 Market St.
This course will teach individuals how to identify and respond to emergency situations by checking to see if it is safe to intervene. Learn the skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives.
The cost is $90 for the course and manual. Registrar on line at redcross.org, go to take a classes tab, scroll down page to find the class you need, click on class and register. For more information, contact the Northern New York Red Cross at slc@redcrossnny.com or 268-0102.
