OGDENSBURG – Fireworks, wine and beer will be on tap at the 6th annual Ogtoberfest to be held Saturday, Sept. 30, from noon-8 p.m.
Close to 1,000 attendees are expected by organizers this year, said chamber director Laura Pearson.
The event will again be held in Lockwood Civic Center.
“My first Ogtoberfest in 2014 was held at the Greenbelt. It poured all day and night. I asked my board to move it to Lockwood in 2015. We have had many people tell us they liked the move,” Pearson said.
First time attendees to Ogtoberfest can expect, music, vendors and other activities.
“We have two bands this year -- The Shoes will play first (from 12:30-3:30 p.m.), followed by Double Axel (from 5-8 p.m.). Music is sponsored by NYSCOPBA. We have about (20) vendors. We have a beer booth and we will have wineries, too. We have food, raffles and fireworks by Majestic at 8:15 p.m. are sponsored by Mort Backus & Sons,” said Pearson.
Vendors include Hosmer’s Marina hosting the beer garden, Bechaz Riverdale Cheese, Glassified, Five Mile Line Logs, Rock and Jam, Adirondack Toboggan Brewery, Healthy Way, Eye Candy, M & T Concessions, Lakeland Winery, Natural Nook, Venditti Vineyards, LulaRoe;
And, The River Forge, Scenty, River Myst Winery, Leggins and Leather, Thirty One Gifts with Jennifer, Northern Flow Vineyards, Paparazzi Accessories, R & J Finds, Zahlers Maple, Bonnie’s Seasonal Crafts, Kim’s Cheesecake on a Stick, Ogdensburg Command Performances, Susie’s Stiches, Verizon Wireless and Ogdensburg Snack Pack.
Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $4 for retired or active military. Children younger than 12 will be admitted free.
