GOUVERNEUR -- There are upcoming fire safety and photography classes for the public at Gouverneur Central School.
The free fire prevention class will be Oct. 28 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Gouverneur Fire Department fire investigator Joe Lacks will give a slideshow presentation and a fire extinguisher demonstration followed by question-and-answer.
Photographer Genine Gehret will lead a course on understanding one’s camera and basic photography Nov. 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the high school library classroom.
She will cover exposure, aperture, f-stop, rule of thirds, ISO and white balance, as well as camera functions. There will be in-class practice and question-and-answer.
There is a $20 fee.
People should bring their camera and instruction manual.
