CANTON – The three-race St. Lawrence Valley Paddlers Duathlon Series winds up on Wednesday, Aug. 15 with the last race this year from the boat launch off Park Street.
The fun paddling and running race is free for all participants and all are welcome. Canoes and kayaks are allowed and can have one or two paddlers. There is a good chance that anyone in need of a running or paddling teammate will be able to find someone at the event on race night.
The race consists of one paddling leg of about 1.5 miles and two running legs of about 1.25 miles each. Total race time varies between 25 and 40 minutes. The race can be done as a team or as a single-person “ironman.”
