OGDENSBURG – Fidelis Care will be presenting its health insurance program and signing people up at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, 214 King Street, every Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The company, which call itself “the New York State Catholic Health Plan,” will answer questions about health insurance options, and to help eligible residents apply to enroll. Current members may also get help completing their annual recertification.
According to Fidelis, St. Lawrence County is home to 2,900 uninsured children under the age of 19, and more than 11,600 uninsured adults between the ages of 19 and 64.

Fidelis offers free or low-cost health insurance through New York State's Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, and Medicaid Managed Care programs. Members are covered for regular checkups, preventive care, routine screenings, hospital and emergency care, eye exams, dental care, and more. In addition, Fidelis Care offers a variety of benefit options for seniors through Fidelis Medicare Advantage, Dual Advantage, Medicaid Advantage Plus, and Fidelis Care at Home programs, available in certain counties.
