GOUVERNEUR -- Fidelis Care is holding an open house to help uninsured St. Lawrence County residents get free or low-cost health insurance on Saturday, March 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gouverneur Community Office, 101 E. Main St.
Sales representatives will answer questions about health insurance and help with enrollment. There will be snacks, beverages and activities to occupy children.
The deadline to enroll for coverage in New York state is March 31. Most residents are required to enroll under threat of a tax penalty.
Anyone unable to attend can make an appointment with a Fidelis representative by going to fideliscare.org or calling 1-888-343-3547.
