NORFOLK -- The Parish of the Church of the Visitation and St. Raymond will hold its annual summer social and Festival of Foods Sunday, Aug. 20, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
There will be an American booth featuring summer picnic food, ethnic booths with sample foods from six different countries and make your own sundae station provided by Stewart's Shops.
Free cotton candy will be available throughout the social.
There will be a midway of children's games, as well as a Chinese auction for the young and young at heart.
Bingo will be offered at 12:15 and 1:45 p.m., with cards costing $1 each or 6 for $5. Fifteen games of bingo are planned. Prizes include gift cards from local businesses and eateries.
A silent auction will run from 11:30 a.m. until 2:15 p.m., with items such as gift cards from The Lobster House, Jakes on the Water, and Akwesasne Casino.
Several antique items, as well as white elephant items will be available during the auction as well.
A cake spin, with a chance to win a speciality cak, and other games including Break the Bank, Whooo's the Winner and Pepsi Cola Ring Toss will be staged.
At 2:30 p.m., organizers will start to raffle off 43 different prizes, most being cash or gift cards, as well as a detailing package from Blevins Motors. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each and will be available throughout the social. Ticket holders need not be present to win.
