Backwoods Angler TV visits Black Lake at 7:30 a.m. this morning on Versus, the NBC Sports channel.

The station is located at channel 69 on the Time Warner cable tv lineup in St. Lawrence County.

Backwoods Angler TV is a new reality fishing show focusing on freshwater fishing from the Northeastern U.S.

Based out of the Lehigh Valley, Penn., the show has been on the air since 2009. Just recently the show was picked up by Versus, and premiered in July of 2011.

On the series, host Blaine Mengel takes viewers to some of the best known and some of the most hidden lakes, rivers and ponds in the Northeast.

Backwoods Angler TV has aired many episodes from New York State, including such areas such as Lake Champlain, Lake Oneida and the Delaware River.

This week's episode focuses on bass fishing with Top Water lures.

Sponsoring the show are Interstate Batteries, Gamma Fishing Line, RiverPro Boats, ACE Recreational Marine Insurance, Vinnerbaits Lures and the Sportsman's Table. Backwoods Angler is excited to be a part of Versus' new line-up and a part of the new transformation to NBC Sports Network, but more than that are proud to present the best fishing that New York and the Northeast has to offer to the entire United States.

The show will be available for streaming online viewing at blip.tv/backwoodsanglertv and more lake fishing tips may be found at www.backwoodsanglertv.com
