CANTON – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Northern New York and the St. Lawrence County Beef Discussion Group will hold a meeting at Joe Eisele’s farm, 6900 County Route 27 July 31 at 6:30 p.m.
Eisele buys smaller feeder calves and feeds them to about 800 pounds and sells them to another farmer who finishes them. Ron Kuck, Extension Educator from Jefferson County, will talk about his plate meter used to measure pasture dry matter.
Kitty O’Neil, regional agronomist will answer questions and learn about farmers’ pasturing experiences in this wet summer.
