CANTON – The 10th annual Remington Arts Festival continues through Sunday, Sept. 22-25, with the peak of excitement taking place all day Saturday. For the full schedule of events visit www.RemingtonArtsFestival.org.

The festival celebrates arts excellence in the North Country and is free and open to the public.

People of all ages can enjoy historic tours by horse carriage, children’s historic games and dress-up, a 5k run/walk, lectures, an art show and sale as well as many other activities located on and around the village green.

This year, musicians ‘The Fraser Family and Friends’ and artist Wayne Brown of ‘Tired Iron Sculptures’ will be featured.

The Fraser Family and Friends will perform in an open door concert (come and go as you like) from 2-4 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Saturday. The 16-member group from Harrisville will sing and play the songs they have been singing together all their lives.

Artist Wayne Brown of Tired Iron Sculptures, Heuvelton, transforms forgotten farm machinery and obsolete tools into fanciful sculpture.

Brown will speak about his work and lead art programs in area schools during the week of the festival. He will also be showing and talking about his work during the Festival Art Show & Sale in the Park all day on Saturday. View Brown’s work at www.tiredironsculptures.com
