POTSDAM – Clarkson University's Environmental Organizations have put together a large event for 350.org's Moving Planet day Saturday, Sept. 24. On this day communities and individuals all over the world will be taking action to move our world off of fossil fuels and on to a healthier more sustainable future.
Clarkson's event will have two parts and the community is invited to both.
• Environmental Expo: 4-7 p.m. on Cheel lawn and in the Student Center with speakers, demonstrations, information booths, petitions, games, local food and more.
• Multi-campus Rave and Rally: 9 p.m-1 a.m. on Cheel lawn. It will be the largest outdoor musical event ever held in Potsdam that has included all the area schools. With an environmental twist. There will be four emerging DJs and performers: DJ Whole-Z, Jacob Es, DJ Jakels, and K Scholss.
