POTSDAM – Congregation Beth El will hold its 33rd annual Food Festival Sunday, Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the synagogue, 81 Market St.
Challah squares and twists, chocolate and cinnamon rings and rugeluch will be among the variety of tasty breads delivered fresh from Montreal and available for purchase on the main floor, along with mouth watering, home baked delicacies.
Downstairs, lunch will include holiday treats such as traditional latkes and blintzes, soup with matzo balls, whitefish salad, potato knishes, falafel in pita, tasty strudel and delicious kugel. There will be New York Style Cheesecake and brownies available for dessert.
The gift shop will feature Hanukkah items such as candles, dreidles and menorahs, as well as books, decorations and jewelry. Also available will be gifts for adults and children of all ages and for all occasions.
A white elephant sale will feature many good books and gently used kitchen and household items.
