EDWARDS – The Edwards Fire Department will hold an open house, chicken barbecue, and raffle at the 115 New St. station at 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 and 16.
On Friday, there will be a demonstration of search and rescue techniques with the use of an obstacle course set up in the cold storage building.
On Saturday, demonstrations will be given on the county haz-mat, fire prevention and MCI trailers.
There will also be an auto extrication demonstration to show the public what the department has been using funds for in training and equipment. Any and all fire and rescue agencies are welcome to participate and/or attend.
The following vendors have committed to the open house on Saturday: MES, Jerome Fire, 4GUYS Fire, Jefferson Fire, Lewis County General Hospital, and Carthage Area Hospital.
