MASSENA -- Burnham Benefit Advisors is sponsoring an educational health care reform seminar on Tuesday, June 2 at the Massena Golf and Country Club.
The seminar will cover patient protection and Affordable Care Act requirements and what employers need to do right now.
It will include an interactive presentation on hot button issues facing employers with respect to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The ACA places new responsibilities on employers that, over time, may change the nature of employer-provided health care.
The seminar will highlight how the new provisions of the ACA will affect plans and employee eligibility as well as the delay of the employer mandate and the applicable penalties.
The new employer reporting requirements will be discussed in conjunction with some of the top compliance issues employers are now facing.
It will include a complimentary continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 9 a.m. presentation.
This seminar is free and open to the public. Event organizers say registration by May 29 is strongly encouraged.
Burnham Benefit Advisors is a brokerage and consulting firm based in Lake Placid.
