POTSDAM -- The Dylan Perrillo Orchestra will close the Ives Park Concert series on Sept. 29 at 6 p.m.
The orchestra is a colorful ensemble of young musicians who have come together from all corners of the Capital Region to honor the roots of jazz.
The 12-piece group sounds like a big band straight out of the 1920s, yet handles jazz classics with a freshness that makes the listener believe they just wrote this material yesterday.
Dylan Perrillo graduated from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.
The rain location for the performances will be the United Methodist Church, 26 Main St.
The series is supported by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council, with funding from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program.
