LOUISVILLE -- Louisville Summer Bash begins Aug. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department with an ice cream social and Lions Club Duck Race.
Events continue Saturday Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. with a parade at St. Lawrence Church, Willard Road that continues to the arena. At 11 a.m. a chicken barbecue will be held, followed by firematic drills at 1 p.m.
DJ Jimmy Edwards will entertain at 5 p.m. while the fire department hosts a pig roase.
Bed races, bounce houses, cookoffs vendors and more will be available throughout the day. Fire works will be held at dusk.
On Sunday, the Ecumenical Church will hold a service at the Louisville Community Church. At noon a picnic will be held at the community center. Hamburgers, hot dogs and paper goods will be provide. Attendees are asked to provide their own sides.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the fire department, community church, Lions Club, vendors and minor hockey.
