OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center will once again host their Dragon Boat Challenge this summer and are seeking 24 teams.
Teams of 20 paddlers, one drummer and three alternates paddle large boats to see who can get the fastest time.
There were 11 teams signed up as of April 15.
There is a new youth division this year for ages 14 to 17.
Entry fee is $1,000 for corporate teams, $800 for non-profits and community groups and $600 for youth teams.
After May 15, prices go up $200.
The event will be July 16 at Waddington Beach, beginning at 8:30 a.m. rain or shine.
Proceeds go to Northern New York Community Foundation and Children's Miracle Network of NNY.
