CANTON -- An interactive draft horse workshop will be presented May 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Honey Dew Acres, 169 Post Rd., offering practical and hands-on experience in harnessing, hitching and driving both singles and teams.
The workshop is sponsored by the St. Lawrence Valley Draft Horse Club. An assortment of draft animals will be available for participants to work with throughout the day. Other topics to be covered will include log skidding, breeds, equine dental health, raising a draft foal, and horse health.
