POTSDAM - “Distractions” opens Oct. 18 at the St. Lawrence County Arts Gallery, 18 Elm St. from 5 to 7 p.m. and is part of the town-wide art walk.

The new exhibit features abstract photography and digital imaging by local artists Barry Lobdell and Jason Hubbard.

Lobdell, Saranac Lake, is a member of the Adirondack Artists' Guild whose work typically focuses on the natural landscape of the Adirondack Mountains. His work can be viewed at www.barrylobdell.com.

Hubbard, Potsdam, is in his twelfth year teaching art at Norwood-Norfolk; his own artwork focuses on digital photography with layering and manipulation.

This exhibit will be on display at the SLC Arts Gallery at Town Hall, 18 Elm St., through Nov. 25 and is free and open to the public.
