POTSDAM -- Suzan McDermott of Canton, owner of Bravura Photography, will teach two photography classes for the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
In the first class May 4 from 10 a.m. to noon, McDermott will teach students the basics of digital cameras, from point and shoot to DSLR cameras.
Students should note their camera model when they register. The cost will be $20 and students should bring their camera and user's manual.
During the second class, Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., McDermott will guide a morning photo outing to help students find and frame shots. If the weather is inclement photos will be taken in downtown Snell Hall. McDermott will also show how to use basic free editing software to enhance photos.
The registration deadline for this class is May 8. The cost will be $40 and students should bring a digital camera, memory stick, batteries, a notebook and a bag lunch.
