POTSDAM – “Digital Citizenship: Roles & Responsibilities for Today’s Organization” is the next emerging technology education event from the St. Lawrence County IT Advisory Board at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 13.
The free event will be in the Peterson Board Room in Clarkson University’s Hill Campus Snell Hall. James Cruikshank from Potsdam Central School, Joseph Kardash and Peter Edwards from Colton-Pierrepont Central School, and Kevin Lynch from Clarkson University will present case studies on the idea.
The session is based on the idea that being a citizen of the internet, like being a citizen of any state, nation, or even member of a small group, carries with it rights, privileges, and responsibilities. As a user on the internet, most of us enjoy our rights of self-expression and the free flow of information provided to us. Still, being a citizen of the internet is just as much responsibility as it is a right.
People can get details and register at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/3105220799/. Registrations are requested by March 12.
