A discussion about the logistics and legalities of homeschooling will be followed by a question and answer session.
Pickens has been homeschooling her 3 sons on their farm and in the North Country for five years.
An advocate for student-led learning, her writing on the subject appears on steampoweredclassroom.com and she is also a regular contributor at Home Education Magazine. She offers support to families wishing to pursue home-based education.
