CANTON -- Deep Root Center for Self-Directed Learning is hosting an information session from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 18.
Executive Director Maria Corse say their curriculum can be beneficial to youth who are unhappy, disengaged, vulnerable or struggling in their learning situation.
A showing of Ken Danford's Ted Talk (the founder of North Star; Self-Directed Learning for Teens) will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
The school, or as Corse prefers it, "self-directed learning center," is at 17 Main St., second floor. Parking is available on Main Street or the lot off Riverside Drive.
