MASSENA -- The Eugene L. Nicandri Nature Center will host workshops provided by New York State DEC Oct. 18 and 19.
These free trainings, aimed at all types of educators and open to all, will be offered in the center classroom. All materials will be provided.
There will be 3 workshop sessions offered, Project Wild, Early Childhood Project Wild and Project Learning Tree, and Combined Project Wild and Project Wet.
Each of these sessions teaches age appropriate activities that explain natural history concepts. Participants will try out some of the activities and learn to engage youth and explain science concepts.
Participants may sign up for any of the three sessions. To complete the workshop and receive the certificate(s) and lesson manual, they must attend and participate in the time allotted for the workshop. There is a maximum of 30 participants for workshops.
