POTSDAM -- The state Department of Environmental Conservation will hold a meeting to accept public comments on its draft unit management plan (UMP) for the St. Lawrence Foothills Tuesday, July 25, from 6-8:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium here.
This area includes 13 state forests, including: Catherineville, Crary Mills, Degrasse, Downerville, Glenmeal, High Flats, Orebed Creek, Silver Hill, Snow Bowl, Taylor Creek, West Parishville, Whippoorwill Corners, and Whiskey Flats; and the towns of Colton, Hopkinton, Parishville, Potsdam, Pierrepont, and Russell.
