WADDINGTON – David Wells and the Gathering will perform their brand of folk rock July 14, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., as part of the 2017 Waddington Summer Concert Series.
The Gathering is a fiddle-flavored group playing what feels good, sounds good, and is good in a non-genre way.
David Wells started his music career in Northern New York playing in local bands while in high school in the Heuvelton area.
Wells spent some time out of the area, working and performing as a drummer and as a singer/songwriter with various stops during those years, including Syracuse, Utica, and New York City.
In 2004, David relocated back to the North Country to find musical work playing drums and percussion for area organizations such as Community Performance Series and Northern Symphonic Winds. He also continued to write and perform as a singer/songwriter and to record two solo records, while working with various other musicians in the area.
The Gathering is comprised of fiddler Amber Nezezon, drummer Michael Jadlos and longtime Northern New York musician Greg Jadlos.
The show will be held at Island View Park, Main Street.
The venue is wheelchair accessible.
Attendees are advised to bring a lawn chair.
All Summer Concert Series performances are free. Donations will be accepted.
The sponsors for the July 14 show is Artworks Creperie , Iroquois Gas and the Village of Waddington.
