POTSDAM, -- The Crane School of Music Faculty Recital Series will continue Sept. 15 with a free concert featuring Douglas Rubio on classical guitar at 3 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.
The performance will include works by Dowland, Eastwood, Karpman and Brouwer.
Also performing on the program will be Anna Hendrickson, oboe, and Laura Klugherz, viola.
One highlight of the program will be the performance of "Waxing Nostalgic" for viola, guitar and "processed audio," by California composer Laura Karpman.
The audio files are manipulations of wax cylinder recordings of Mexican folk songs sung by Los Angeles natives in 1903-04.
