Crane clarinet, piano recital Tuesday at SUNY Potsdam

POTSDAM -- Two professors at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will perform an upcoming concert together with a program that starts and ends with dance-inspired works.

Featuring Dr. Julianne Kirk-Doyle on clarinet and Dr. Kathryn Sherman on piano, the next installment of the Faculty Recital Series will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Snell Music Theater.

The works include an arrangement of a suite from the ballet "Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64" by Sergei Prokofieff, the "Sonata for Clarinet and Piano" by Francis Poulenc, the 1980 work "Sequenza IXa per Clarinetto Solo" by Luciano Berio, and "Dante Dances (Dante's Inferno)" by Dan Welcher.

This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
