POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will host an alumnus who is returning to campus for a guest artist recital.
Cellist Brian Carter will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, in Hosmer Concert Hall.
He will present Arne Nordheim's 1980 work, "Clamavi for violoncello solo," pianist Hannah Gruber, an assistant professor at Crane, will accompany Carter on the three movements of Sergei Prokofiev's "Sonata in C-Major, Op. 119," and the recital will conclude with a performance of Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály's 1915 "Sonata for Violoncello Solo, Op. 8."
This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
