CANTON – Cornell Cooperative Extension will host Cranberry Delight, the next workshop in its Harvest Kitchen Preservation Series, at the Extension Learning Farm, 2043 State Highway 68 on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.

The workshop fee is $20. Participants will get to sample multiple cranberry dishes as well as take home some product and recipes.

Reserve a spot online at stlawrence.cce.cornell.edu/, or by contacting Cooperative Extension at 315-379-9192, ext. 229 or harvestkitchen@cornell.edu.

Cranberries were long used by the Narragansett and other Native American people for both food and dye. While many people think of New England as the primary cranberry growing region, cranberries are cultivated in the North Country.

Deer River Cranberries in Brasher Falls donated the fruit for the workshop.

The Harvest Kitchen Preservation Series is an interactive workshop series in a modern teaching kitchen. The classes focus on seasonal recipes, produced in a flavorful and safe way.
