AKWESASNE -- Country music star Pam Tillis is set to perform two shows at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort on Thursday.

She is slated for 7 and 9 p.m. at the casino's Winter Ballroom.

Tickets range from $30 to $45. They can be purchased from http://mohawkcasino.com/index.php/shows/Country-Concert-Series/Pam-Tillis or by calling the casino at (518)358-2222.

Tillis released her first hit single in 1990. She has since put out 14 top five hits, six of which were chart-toppers. She has sold upwards of 6 million records. Her songs have been covered by artists including Chaka Khan, Martina McBride, Highway 101, Juice Newton and Conway Twitty. She was one of the first women in Nashville to produce her own album and was named Female Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Awards in 1994.

Tillis was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2000. She signed with Sony Records that year and released her well-known single "It's All Relative," a tribute to her father, country singer Mel Tillis. The album on which the song appeared was the number four-selling country album in 2002.

Some of her other well-known tunes include "Shake the Sugar Tree," "Spilled Perfume" and "Maybe it was Memphis."
