MADRID -- The Madrid Dam Summer Music Series kicks off with country singer Lacey Rae Peets on Wednesday, June 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The show takes place at the Madrid Community Park, with the community building serving as a rain location.
If the event is held indoors, the maximum capacity is 150.
During intermission there will be a “Madrid Moment.”Peets comes from a musically talented family, her grandmother is a piano instructor and her father has been in rock bands since he was a teen. Her siblings also play musical instruments.
Peets has performed for audiences since the age of 8 and has had success in several musical competitions.
“About 8 years ago I decided to get more serious and try to make some money at it instead of just doing it for fun,” Peets said.
She sings mostly newer country with a few classics and surprises mixed in.
Peets says she is available to perform at parties, weddings, bars, restaurants and other gatherings.
To book her, contact 842-8818 or l_rae_s@yahoo.com.
Looking ahead, Acepella North is slated to perform Wednesday, July 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.
