CANTON – The Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County will offer emerald ash borer training for professionals and policy makers on April 30 from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
The program is geared toward municipal and institutional tree managers and public officials, but is also open to the general public.
Training will be held at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 2043B State Highway 68.
The $10 registration fee includes lunch and materials.
Experts from Cornell University, NYS DEC and National Grid will present the latest information, including pesticide treatment options and regulations, scouting and monitoring, managing woody material during the infestation and updated tree removal safety.
